A look at Make
Your Knowledge Sell
by Phil Wiley
I've spent half
the past week reading ebooks. It gets a bit hard on the eyes, which
is why I look a bit like a bug eyed monster at the moment... but
they're sometimes a lot more convenient, and they're definately
the way of the future.
they save trees
they're cheaper
to produce if you're into self publishing
you can read
them in the dark....which is what I've been doing until a few
minutes ago when I started writing this.
I'm sitting in the back of my car in the sweltering, humid Australian
heat, waiting for my daughter Kate while she plays beach volleyball.
( I was watching, but she said I was putting her off ) so I retreated
to the car and booted up the Gateway notebook.
If you read last weeks issue, and were hazarding a guess at my reading
material, you'd go for the monster sized Make
Your Knowledge Sell by Monique Harris and Ken Evoy.
But you'd be wrong. Look, I know I'm not doing the good salesman
thing here, but I'm actually re-reading Ken's
first book Make Your Site Sell because in the last 2 weeks my
sales of that book have jumped by around 400%.
It made me want to re-read the book, and I'm learning a lot from
it. I've heard a few very respected people say that Ken was crazy
to sell it for that price ( $17 ) and I think they're very probably
right.
It might have been a loss leader to build up a big customer base,
but the information in it is so good that most people would willingly
have paid a few hundred dollars for it.
In fact it's been done the exact opposite way to Monique and Ken's
new book. The new book Make
Your Knowledge Sell at
is basically an update/rewrite of Moniques package which, until
a couple of weeks ago, she sold from her own web site for $300.
I hope Ken doesn't mind me telling you that. In fact I think it's
great that something selling for $300 is now down to around $50.
With a lot more content than the previous high ticket package.
Postscript:
Well...it seems that Ken and Monique did mind. They'd like to point
out that Make Your
Knowledge Sell is a totally new book and package, not just a
repackaging/revamp of the old $300 deal. Any-which-way-you-look-at-it,
Make Your Knowledge
Sell is well worth adding to your must-read books. Highly recommended.
