This is a question for those who are currently making money online (using adsense or/and affiliate commissions)!
I've been into online marketing/affiliate sites for quite a while but I only got around to creating my first site last august (last month).
I'm lucky enough to know some PHP so I created a script which can make my sites for me (I think something similar to XSitePro).
Anyway, since this is quite new to me, I don't know whether the results I'm getting are good, or far from what they should be.
Basically, I launched the site 6 weeks ago, and I now get an average of 30 unique visitors per day (I used to get around 5/day for the first 2/3 weeks).
I also got one affiliate sale after just 2 weeks, but nothing else yet - however it was enough to motivate me to keep building my site!
Now, in the first 3 weeks, I made around $3.50 from adsense, and now, in the past 3 weeks I've made $18.32, which is not much but not too bad (I think at least!). So I am now making around $1-$2 daily from google adsense.
Another thing - All my visitors come from MSN, I got clicks from around 154 different keyphrases (some of them repeated). I am guessing that the site is still in the google sandbox (Although the site is indexed in google, I only got 2 hits this month).
One last thing, I got around 11 links towards the site, so I am still building the link popularity.
Now my question is, is this any good? Or should I be making much more at this point? I'm asking this as sometimes I hear people making hundreds monthly, and I am nowhere close to them!
Is there anything you suggest? I've learnt lots about SEO, linking, etc. so I'm pretty familiar with the theory behind it all. Also, after how long can I expect to be making a decent amount, maybe $200 monthly?
