How to cash in on Google Adwords
it's not often that a new
computer program, especially one as commonplace as a keyword
research tool, gets me excited.
But one being released today has done just that.
In fact, rather than seeing it as yet another
keyword research tool, I'm seeing it as pure money making software.
I predict that this new
software, together with some new tactics I'm learning from a
book called Google
Cash is going to see my earnings leap by the end of this week.
That's a bold statement - and it does mean investing
money in buying ads - but as long as I write the ads well I know
I can't fail.
Why am I so confident?
Look, I already use the research tools in Site
Build It, I already have an account at Wordtracker,
but this new tool does something extra - apart from showing how
many people are searching for a certain keyword combination (and
showing the potential profitability of that phrase) it also shows
exactly how many people are buying ads for that keyword phrase on
Google Adwords and Overture.
Think that's not important? Take a look at these
screenshots.

You can see that I've already used it to identify
high traffic search terms that NO ONE is buying
Google Adwords for.
In fact I discovered one subject with huge searches
that's just begging to be exploited. I found two
decent affiliate programs covering the niche, and a scattering of
others, and not one person is buying Google Adwords for the top
half dozen search terms, and very few are buying Overture ads.
This means I can cash in on those phrases immediately.
(and I'm going to).
Another use for the tool is to identify niches
that are just too competitive to enter.
This next screenshot shows a massive 237 campaigns
on Overture for one keyword. Do you want to compete with that? I
don't. Imagine the money you'd have to pour into it. (though the
potential rewards are obviously high if you succeed).

And if you're not interested in buying ads yourself, but you're
looking at building sites for Google
AdSense, it's also a must have new tool.
I've already made a note to rewrite several pages
of a new AdSense site I'm working on because I've
found no one is buying Adwords for the search words the pages were
built around.
(I'm now going to buy Adwords myself for those
search terms)
You can tell that I'm quite excited by this software.
it works fast and the displayed results are very easy to understand.
more importantly, it instantly identifies underdeveloped niches,
and search terms worth
building campaigns around.
the results can be saved in a variety of ways, including as a spreadsheet.
it's low cost.
and it saves lots of time.

And what about the GoogleCash book I mentioned?

Well I'm still reading it because I've been
too busy using the software to get much reading done this week...but
from what I've read so far, and from dipping into pages later in
the book, it's very good.
The author, Chris Carpenter, is earning thousands
of dollars a month buying Adwords to promote affiliate programs.
And he shows you just how to do it yourself.
GoogleCash
takes you beyond the theory that the other Adwords books are full
of, and get's stuck into the practical step-by-step stuff that you
can easily follow.
Of course, you've got to be prepared to spend
to earn. Most people are too frightened to do this.
But it's a necessity of business life.
And remember that this is a business. Approach
it like a business, including putting time and effort in, and it
will pay off.
Play around and you'll only pick up pocket-money.

Yesterday I had a quick word with Chris about
his book.
Here's part of what we discussed:
Phil: what changes (if any) has AdSense made to
the way you use Adwords? Would you recommend opting out of displaying
your ads on related sites and just leave them on the Google search
site?
Chris: I have opted out from displaying my ads
on related sites. I tested it for a few days and my
CTRs dropped overall. So I opted out and my CTRs rose again.
Perhaps now that the system has been in place a little longer CTRs
are improving? I'm running several more tests now and I will
publish the results in my newsletter.
Phil: I know your book is quite new, but has it
been updated to mention Adsense? Or is Adsense
simply irrelevant to the way you use Adwords?
Chris: The
Book doesn't mention Adsense at the moment. I'm releasing
an update in a couple of days that will briefly talk about Adsense
Chris: I think that Adsense is a great opportunity.
Maybe not so much for the Google
Cash system
(at least at the moment with the low CTRs I have received from Adsense)
- but for content rich sites. It's a great way to make some
extra revenue without having to search for affiliate programs, etc.
For a side project - I am building several content sites, with the
purpose of earning revenue from AdSense. I will explain them in
detailed case studies in my newsletter in the upcoming weeks.

Ok, that's it.
Treat yourself to the software and book this week
and make some money. Remember, you've got to spend money to make
money.
