Letter from Phil

today's long letter is mainly about getting more visitors to your websites...the all-important targeted traffic.

But you'll also find an Internet Explorer tip...details of an online resume service...and Neil Shearing behind bars.

Hope you find at least one thing here useful. And all of it interesting.

Here's what's inside:

Traffic Dynamo...

A free Search Engine Primer ebook...

Quick Internet Explorer Tip...

Online Resume Service...

Neil Shearing behind bars...

1. Ok, first up a look at Traffic Dynamo...

You've probably not heard of it yet, because it's only just come out of the final testing stages. Plus there's no affiliate program at this stage, so you're not going to see it widely promoted.

But when it comes to getting targeted visitors from search engines Dynamo is the real thing.

In fact I'd say it's the first ever automated product that's been proven to work...driving a constant flow of motivated, interested, and
targeted traffic to any web site on any subject.. and can even be used to attract visitors to affiliate programs you're promoting.

Not only that...once you've done some initial work it does everything automatically for you, including building database driven web sites
that can contain hundreds or indeed thousands of pages.

Database sites?

Don't let that word put you off. Before I understood what a database really is, I'd hear the word and immediately tune out everything related to it. Too technical for me.

But really you don't have to know anything about databases or programming to make it work. It's simple to understand once you've taken some time to read the tutorial.

Believe me, I'm a no hoper when it comes to anything away from a bit of simple html (I even struggle to make a subscribe form work) but I'm putting Dynamo to work to attract traffic to my sites and get subscribers to my newsletter.

Having said that, it's not something for beginners. Dynamo uses advanced techniques, and you need at least a basic webmaster's background before you give them a try. You also need to have your
own domain name, and a CGI-enabled web site (UNIX or NT). So this is a system for people who are serious about their business and web site.

Look I wrote about 5 pages on Dynamo before realizing it made this letter far too long and had to delete it all.

Rather than me rambling on about it, and trying to explain everything you need to visit the site which explains it a lot better than I did.

Before you go though, I've struck a special deal for you.

Seeing there's no affiliate program yet, I've managed to talk the developer, Joe Chapius ( well respected web marketer and writer, an
ODP editor at www.dmoz.org, and publisher of Net Tips into giving you a big discount equal to the kind of money he'd normally have to pay out in affiliate commissions.

Joe tells me he's planning to sell it in the $79-$149 range - probably $129. Right now he's priced it at $79.

But for the next 4 days, until the 11th, you can get it from my link for much less by entering the coupon code: wiley30

Remember, like anything else you have to put time and effort into making it work/taking action.

But make up your own mind after reading about it. It's not simple stuff, but it could well turn out to be a serious traffic driver for your sites.

2. A free Search Engine Primer ebook...

More on traffic, and this time for beginners (and not so beginners).

No matter how many visitors we get to our web sites we all want more, don't we?

Visitors who come because of personal recommendations are the best, but traffic from search engines has got to run a pretty close second.

Why? Because it's tightly targeted traffic. People from a search engine could only have found you because they were searching for what you're offering.

Hard to get ranked high though, isn't it?

Fortunately, some people who are experts at getting a top 10 spot, are willing to share their knowledge. So this week I've got a FREE ebook for you, called Search Engine Primer.

Naturally, being free, it points you to a longer pay-for version. But don't let that put you off because the information in the free book is really valuable, and quite in-depth. Very useful stuff.

You can download it, free, by visiting this link

EasySEO

And before finishing talking about more visitors don't forget the low cost EasySEO reverse engineering software I wrote about the other day.

3. Quick Internet Explorer Tip...

Here's an Internet Explorer shortcut I've been finding useful lately.

Instead of typing the full url of a site, just put the site name and then press ctrl+enter. windows will then automatically put the header and tail to it.

1. type : minisiteprofits

then press

2. ctrl+enter

it will turn to http://www.minisiteprofits.com and bring up the site.

4. Online Resume Service...

In Friday's New York Times I read that " The nation's unemployment rate rose to 6 percent in November, the highest level since a peak almost nine years ago."

Not good news, if you're one of the people affected by this. But higher unemployment could well help people promoting Resume services.

It could also be another niche for you to explore.

Now if I ever get to Ireland again, long time All the Secrets/Letter from Phil reader, the very Irish Ronan Kennedy owes me a Guinessor two for this mention of his online resume service.

Actually a promise of Guiness can't bribe me to write about just anything here...I've checked it out and Ronan is offering a very good service.

And, when you look at the figures for people searching for resume information, his affiliate program looks well worth joining and building a mini site or two around.

Here are some figures:

Terms searched for last month on the engines per overture tool:

resumes 500,000 approx cover letters 165,000
sample resumes 110,000
resume writing 92,000
resume examples 42,000
sample cover letters 50,000
resume templates 21,000
resume cover letters 35,000

( there are many more terms about the 15-20,000 level ).

Here are two of Ronan's resume sites:Sample Resumes Online and http://www.professional-resumes.com/

5.Neil Shearing behind bars...

As part of his large, and still growing web empire, Neil used to run one of the best and busiest internet marketing discussion forums.

Used to?

Well it's still there but he's put it behind bars, locking it away inside his new member only site.

It's not the only thing inside. There's lots of info, and resident experts...including me.

I think it's the first member only site pay site I've come across without an affiliate program, which testifies to Neil's huge pulling power.
