JAVA APPLETS - WeBWERKS
http://www.en.com/users/elmer/
This appears to be one of the first sites to store Java Applets for "snatch and
use" on your own web pages.
It's no more complicated than copying a graphic. Generally you right click on the Applet
page, select view source, and then enter or copy the "Applet HTML Statement"
using the Clipboard Viewer, into your HTML document. Go to the download page for the
required files. That's it.
JAVASCRIPT PLANET.
www.intricate.com/javascript/
This could be a site to visit if you're looking to jazz up your
web site a little.
Javascript has little, if anything, to do with the white-hot Java
language from Sun.
It's a scripting language developed by Netscape that is easier
to understand and is capable of many ways of extending HTML.
In particular, it is one of the best ways for web designers to
generate drop down menus without having to call on CGI-server
scripts.
There are other garish (and innovative) possibilities, such as
dynamically changing the background colours of a page.
The only downside is that Microsoft Internet Explorer's J-Script
emulation is not fully compatible. Scripts that may work in
Netscape may fall over in Internet Explorer.
Javascript Planet's collection of 175 scripts and resources mean
you can pre-check these compatibility issues on the one site -
and pick up a lot of useful HTML extension tricks at the same
time.

Microsoft's SiteBuilder Network Gallery.
Microsoft has created a great little corner of the
web with its SiteBuilder Network Gallery. The image
section is just one small part of it, and holds
backgrounds, bullets, buttons, photo's, and heaps
of clip art. A lot of good stuff here, and it's all free.
