Letter
from Phil...
before
I get into anything else I just want to remind you about the article
I wrote last week about Buying and Selling Sites on Ebay and how
I'd been stuck there (on Ebay) for 2 days looking at sites for sale.
You can read the article
again by following this link. Well just this week well known
marketer Kirt Christensen launched a brand new site on this very
topic - showing you exactly how to profit from buying cost web sites,
improving them, and making a huge profit when you sell them. You
can read about Kirt's new site here. I became a member the day
it was launched. The affiliate program also looks worthwhile joining.
You can sign
up for it here. You'll be one of the first to promote it....by
the way one very happy reader snapped up the GetNutrition.net web
site mentioned in the article for a low $66. Can't beat that!
Two
books I've read this week
The
other day I heard a bit of buzz on the forums about a new ebook/website
where Stephan Ducharme shows you how to get 1 million visitors to
your site without paying a dime in advertising.
Stephan
says that he's written it after going from 1000 visitors a year
to over a million himself.
It's
an intriguing sales letter, so I bought it. While I can't agree
with many of the methods used (it's got nothing to do with bulk
email or spamming people) the strategies detailed will increase
your traffic. It's
a good book for people new to this business who currently have
little traffic and are willing to put work in to increase it. But
if you've been in business for a while you probably won't find much
benefit here. Though I did discover one thing I should be doing,
and as soon as I put it into place I'll see an instant traffic surge.
The
other book - really a tape/seminar transcript, is the one you'll
have seen advertised a fair bit in the past couple of months. The
headline being used to sell it, with great success, is:
"How
a New Jersey Truck Driver Earns $130,267.33 A Year Online Without
Any Products to Sell
"
So
a couple of weeks ago I decided to do something about it and sent
off for the professionally recorded tape set and printed manual.
It's
called Instant
Internet Income Streams For Ordinary People...and it's 8
hours of hard hitting, nail biting, money-making information from
master marketers Terry Dean and Frank Garon.
Nothing is spared as
affiliate wizard Frank shows exactly how he sat at home and averaged
$10,855.91 per month last year.
So what's
so special about Frank that he made over $130,000 from affiliate
programs last year?
Nothing.
This is one of the beautiful
things about home business on the Internet beauty of the Internet...that
any "Average Joe" can succeed
even if all you've
ever done is deliver pizzas for a living
or drive a truck for
$14.25 an hour like Frank did.

Super Affiliate & average guy Frank with his
wife Marie
Listening
to one of the tapes this morning I came to a part where Terry and
Frank were discussing a number of competing marketing courses for
sale on the net. Terry said something that stuck with me: "I
might only get one idea out of the book, but that one idea is worth
a lot more than I paid for it."
That's so
true. When you've been studying Internet marketing material for
a long time, you'll realize that there's not really anything new
under the sun. The courses and quality books are all saying much
the same thing, but in very different ways. But successful people
never stop buying new products. That one idea you'll find in a new
book could really bring you big dollars in.
You might
read information on the same topic 4 or 5 times without ever really
getting much value from it, until Wow! suddenly an idea that
you've probably heard before, smacks you right between the eyes,
and you think Yes, I'll do that. That's going to make me an extra
$10,000 this year.
Personally
I've got 2 huge bookcases full of marketing and business books,
many of them are ebooks I've bought, printed out and had bound.
It's not
a matter of being addicted to information products (as my wife seems
to think), it's about learning something new. About finding new
methods of increasing my income and improving my own knowledge of
Internet business. Personally I soak up every bit of marketing and
advertising material and training that I can. It pays off for me,
it will for you too.
But to get
back to this tape
set and book... what have I learnt here?
Well it's
no secret that Frank is making his income from affiliate programs.
I make a very good income from them too, so you might think it unlikely
that I'd pick up much from this tape
set/book. But you'd be wrong.
I didn't
just get one idea, the one idea that would make the price of the
book/tape package
worthwhile.
In fact
I wrote down a list of 14 different things I could and should and
will be doing to improve my affiliate income.
You
can read about the contents of the tapes and transcript here.
By
the way here's a pic of the house Frank built in the mountains of
Pennsylvania
with his affiliate income. Maybe all super affiliates move to the
mountains
or beach. It seems to be a growing trend.
While we're
on the topic of Super Affiliates, a new book is coming out in a
few days that shows you how another super affiliate, Brian Garvin,
earned even more last year than Frank did. I can't point you to
it yet because the download web site isn't completed, but I've read
the book (written by Shane
Pearce who I mentioned last week) and it's full of useful affiliate
boosting info.
The reason
I'm mentioning it now is that on page 44 Shane asks Brian what he
thinks of Mini affiliate
sites.
Brian answers
that "yes I think they're excellent sales tools...do I endorse
this concept? Yes, and highly..."
I'm not
the only one who earns good money from mini sites. Many super affiliates
use this technique.
To learn how to do it you really need to read my book.

Ok...onto other stuff...
Here's a
quote I like
"An
idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger then the
brain cell it occupied". -- Arnold Glasgow.
The way
I look at this it means you've got to take action on what you learn
and the ideas you come up with. Remember no one succeeds without
taking action. Don't be one of those people who read everything
and never do anything. Set out a series of action steps to take
and follow them.
Marlon
Sander's has just released a new product.
I haven't
bought it yet, so no review or recommendation except to say that
Marlon always overdelivers.
Marlon says
"It breaks out of all the same old, same old, blah, blah, blah
copycat stuff happening today."
Here's
